Brittany's Project is a future facility for individuals with disabilities to enjoy life through recreation, social events, and support. The Facility will be erected on donated property from Brittany's parents Bruce and Sandra Saucier of Franklin Louisiana. The property once being the former Oaklawn Sugar Mill Site will become home to a center to help meet the needs to special individuals and friends of Brittany from near and far. Our fundraising efforts began March 2011,
Brittany's Project is a non profit organization which presently offers educational seminars and workshops, recreation, support, and summer camp to all individuals with a disability. Our mission is to enrich the lives of individuals with intellectual and development disabilities through the area through these services. Our vision is to one day have our own facility so we can offer overnight camps each summer.
A tract of land adjacent to the Saucier's home site will be donated to erect the future home of Brittany's Project. All proceeds from fundraisers go toward reaching the goal of building the facility and monthly activities presently being offered.
The Saucier's have purchased, developing and donated to the parish as well for a primitive kayak rest stop.
